It’s Tasty Tuesday and I have got a simple, sweet, and healthy recipe for you today from KitchenCorners.com. I tried to make my own frozen yogurt a few weeks ago and naively thought I could simply mix Greek yogurt with pureed fruit. I was wrong… though it froze, it came out kind of like ice milk and lacked the creamy texture I desired. Then I found this recipe and realized what I was missing: sweetened condensed milk. You’ll need a ice cream maker for this one, but they’re not that expensive. The Greek yogurt packs a protein powered punch and blackberries are antioxidants and vitamin C.

Creamy Blackberry Frozen Yogurt

3 cups fresh blackberries
3 cups yogurt cheese (or Greek yogurt)
1 can sweetened condensed milk ( 14 ounce can, it’s fine if it’s a bit more or a bit less)

In a blender, puree the blackberries with the sweetened condensed milk.
In a medium bowl mix the puree with the yogurt cheese.
Pour the mixture in to your ice-cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s directions.
