It’s Fitness Friday again, and I’m sharing another exercise that I do (when I can fit it in, if course). It’s not hard to do, so it’s something most people can start with if you’re just getting back in shape or starting your weight loss journey. Since I like to get the most out of everything I do, I do interval walking instead of just regular walking.
Interval walking is when you walk at a normal pace for a few minutes, then walk faster for minutes, then walk normal again. Some people even choose to walk normal, walk faster, then walk really fast… and then walk normal again. You do intervals with running too. Studies have shown that interval walking is better for burning fat and calories then just walking at the same pace for the same period of time. It’s those short bursts of energy that really kick your heart rate and metabolism into high gear.
